Once upon a time, a properly dressed French bed for two came with a single long case for a bolster pillow that each person would share...ever-so romantic, don't you think??
Crisp, feminine and nearly perfect antique French linen bolster case was once a part of a sheet set....sadly, the sheet is threadbare and not useful, but this frothy treasure seems to have not been used! Ends are trimmed with scallops, embroidery and handmade Cluny lace and close with cotton ties that keep the bolster pillow in place. One end bears a layered style French monogram, "PM" that is hand sewn and truly charming. Creamy, medium weight French linen is densely woven and cool to the touch... Entirely hand made, freshly laundered and pressed, in excellent condition. 16.5" X 48", including 3" lace on both ends
