Deliciously soft kid leather black gloves are elaborately hand embroidered in the style of Point de Beauvais, a tiny hand worked chain stitch. If you are a student of early 20th century French embroidery you will recognize the style, made famous by the D. Porthault company.
These vintage gloves were never used, are still stitched together, and bear a lovely pedigree as shown below -- "Brode a la main" (made by hand) in Grenoble, France. Fabulous, dah-ling, fabulous! Black suede leather is the softest you will ever hold (or wear!)...Made for a petit hand. Offered as found, in perfect, unused condition. c.1920's 15.5" long, 4.25" across the palm, 2.5" across the wrist
