Silk French Ribbon and Gilt Embroidery

Lovely and amazing cadet blue silk brocade veil case or purse is lined with palest pink silk and trimmed with French ribbon embroidery. The ribbon roses overlay gold / gilt (real) metallic bobbin lace, all in perfect condition. I captured this piece with my camera just before dusk in Galen's light, that brilliant, glowing twinkle of light that makes the whole world seem alive...I must have taken 30 pictures... The pink silk lining is heavily fractured and in poor condition. A very pale stain or two appears on the back side with close inspection, shown below. Otherwise, it is in excellent condition. Offered as found. c.1870's - 80's. 5.5" X 10"
