Vintage and Antique Linens by Em's Heart Antique Victorian Embroidered Society Silk Trading Cards Scrap Book Item Number C17705 Unused but a wee bit sad, this wonderful Victorian trading cards scrapbook is still a wonderful example of the society silk embroidery craze that swept the nation during that period. The spider web was a symbol of good luck, I believe, and clearly places the piece in the early part of this era. The shaggy spider mum, so perfect, is an appropriate continuation of the theme. Inside there are gold satin lined pockets awaiting trading cards notes, plain pages for display and a yellow ribbon. The spine and edge of the book are fractured at points of stress but the back and face are in good condition. Deeelightful collector piece! Good to excellent condition, appropriate for display, offered as found. c.1880's - 90's 14.5" X 10.5" Item Sold Antique Victorian embroidered trading cards scrapbook $90
