...for your rolling pin collection?? ...or your chicest shabby niche??? A piece of antique velvet with silk embroidery was rescued perhaps 90 or more years ago to make this adorable trinket or key holder. A tiny child's wooden rolling pin has been covered with the piece, hand stitched closed on the back and is slung by multiple cords of red cotton. Three small hooks are attached from which, if it were to be mine, I would hang at least one small bunch of dried lavender...what do you think? Aside from expected wear to the velvet, a tiny drop of paint on the wood is a very minor flaw. Charming beyond imagination...whew! Velvet, c.1860's - 80's Finished piece, c.1900 -- 1920's. 1.5" diameter X 10" long.
