From rural Texas, an antique needlepoint footstool is covered with a lovely spray of strawberries and blossoms. The edge trim seems newer and is likely not original to the piece. The frame is heavily scarred from years of use...at least one old repair, shown below, is visible. The piece was originally assembled with large square nails. Oh, MY! Black wool needlepoint is padded underneath with straw or grass and springs, as seen through the knot hole in the bottom of the piece. Absolutely charming.. Made of pine...offered in excellent condition for age, as found. c.1850's - 70's 14" X 8" X 9" tall
