Vintage Black Satin Embroidered French Purse
With Change Purse and Mirror

Nearly perfect vintage black satin purse was made by hand in France for Chunn, purveyor of fabulous feminine finery, 43 rue Richer, Paris, as shown on the label. Roses and buds, posies and leaves are delicately embroidered on both sides. The top closes with a gilt clasp with two faux pearls. It is accompanied by a double sided lipstick mirror and a tiny change purse embroidered with a garland of roses and bows. The change purse is finished with a gilt top and clasp topped with very tiny red cabochons. Embroidery on both pieces resembles the chain stitch style of D. Porthault, renown linen and embroidery firm, also of France. It is in near perfect shape...promise me you will use this the next time you don your favorite little black dress?! ...not just for display...Offered as found, in excellent condition.. c.1940 - 1950's 6" X 8.5"
