We have come to identify the basket as a symbol of the 1930's post Depression era of hard won prosperity and simplicity. How appropriate that this symbol should find it's way to the very heart of the home -- the dinner table.
This creamy beige table set was designed to bring symmetry to a formal dining table. The large doily sat beneath a vase or bowl of flowers. Each of the other two smaller pieces framed a single candlestick on either side. The chemical lace has substance and is in perfect condition. Despite a teeny, tiny faded mark on the larger piece, the cream linen lawn centers are in excellent condition as well. This is a superior, collectible set. c. 1930's, '40's. 1 -- 9" 2 -- 6".
