Antique linen society silk doily is beautifully embroidered with violets in an unusual lobed square pattern. The embroidery is exceptional...each element is outlined with an edge stitch. Borders are creatively finished with a medallion at each corner and doubled linen hems in between. Creamy white fine linen...centerpiece or doily. One teeny tiny hole and some minor wear to the satin stitched borders, shown below. Excellent condition, freshly laundered and pressed. c.1890 - 1910. 9.5" square
