White Work Doily with Lace

Pristinely white but shabby from years of love, this antique linen doily or centerpiece is beautifully worked and finished with hand made Cluny lace....I can only hope to look this grand when I'm 100! Many flaws are thankfully found amid the embroidery so they don't distract from even daily appreciation or use. A few threads on the lace are shown below.
