Amazing set of vintage linen embroidered mats and napkins set by the renown French embroidery firm, D. Porthault features stylized wild strawberries. Their signature hand embroidered chain stitch allows for fine gradations in shading and exquisite detail in the design. Finest, ever-so white linen lawn forms the perfect backdrop for the embroidery. Freshly laundered and pressed, in excellent condition, with two very minor spots of age that will launder, shown below. c.1920's -- 1960's 14.75" X 16.5"
