Vintage Linen Towel, Marghab??

Fabulous embroidered vintage linen towel is most certainly a product of one of the fine hand embroidery firms in Madeira, Portugal...Could it be a Marghab pattern?? There were three versions of the "Water Leaf" design and I've often thought this could be one of them. Lovely natural color medium weight linen is embroidered with contrasting darker thread and overlaid with pink linen appliqués. Perfect cutwork details increase my Marghab suspicions... This piece is perfect and has been freshly laundered and pressed. c.1950's 14" X 20.75"
