Fabulous Red / Blue Damask Borders and Fringe

Need I say more? Aside from the flaws these are of the best quality available at the time they were made...heavy pure natural linen antique damask in a rich, William Morris-esque style all-over "wallpaper" design. The borders are tightly woven with a leaf and geometric in red and blue and finished with perfect fringes. One towel has a wild and thick repair that was done with the same linen as the weave and was therefore likely to have been done prior to sale. The other has "chewed" areas on the selvedge -- two on one side and three on the other. Neither of these issues interferes with the display or use of each piece. These are rare in both quality and coloration...still collectable despite the boo boos. Glorious in person... c.1880's - 1900 23" X 44" including fringes.
