You may never go back to those nubby, loopy cotton things again...finest antique European linen towel bears the marital first initials (how completely romantic!) of the married couple, "G * M" in pink embroidered cross stitch. It is beautifully finished on both ends with deep Venetian drawn work...it's hard to believe that this would have been considered the personal, everyday linen...If this is to be yours, G, M, or otherwise, you must promise me you will use it for real at least once! Freshly laundered and pressed, in excellent condition. c.1900 - 1920 31" X 56" (larger than a standard contemporary bath towel :-)
