This beautiful antique red velvet hanky keeper deserves a place of honor in a Victorian Christmas display! The front of the hanky case is embroidered and monogrammed (triple WRB) in metallic chenille floss. The piece is trimmed with silk ribbon that is disintegrating in several spots, including the ties, though most is in good shape. The interior lining is a cream satin brocade with a repeating Maple leaf pattern...absolutely elegant. There are two areas for hankies to be tied into place for keeping or travel. 8.5" square when closed. Open, 19.5" including ribbon trim. c.1890 - 1900
