Vintage Printed Silk Chiffon Hanky
with Gold Painted Embellishments

The only other piece like this I've seen was my own grandmother's wedding hanky, c.1927. I can only assume this is from the same period or earlier as the lavish printed silks were so in vogue during the 1920's. The rose pattern and colors look so contemporary. It is the gold painted / embossed edges and details that give it away. There are two tiny age dots that blend in with the field. Otherwise it is in sound, excellent condition. This piece is delicate but not at all fragile. c.1920's 12.5" square
