Huge old and terribly delicate antique embroidered wedding hanky, likely of Swiss origin***, is executed on finest white cotton muslin that is nearly transparent. No longer white and showing it's age, this extraordinary piece has numerous fine repairs, unrepaired holes, and separations, many shown below. The hand made Valenciennes lace was likely added at a later period but adds significantly to the softness and femininity of the piece. Fragile but significant for it's age and remarkable embroidery. c.1840's - 80's 24" X 23" including 3" Valenciennes lace
