Antique sheerest linen lawn hanky is identically embroidered in all four corners with elaborate raised white work in a fern and floral pattern. Likely of Swiss origin, this lovely old piece is worn and has several minor holes and a larger split at the hem, seen in the first photo a at the left side of the piece. Breathtaking despite the flaws and a fine example of the style for collectors. The hems are neatly drawn by hand. Mid-19th century 14" X 14"
