Gorgeous, Swiss embroidered finest linen antique wedding hanky is elaborately finished with a repeating floral vine and intricate edge work and finished with Valenciennes lace. The lace slots were cut through decades ago so that a bride could run a ribbon in and out of the lace edge...oh, my heavenly days! Golden ivory and evenly aged, this fabulous piece would be wonderful in a candlelit wedding carried by an ivory-gown be-decked bride. Is there a "DH" out there? This would be worth changing the time of the ceremony and buying a box of candles. Numerous significant "flaws" of age are shown below. There will be no doubt that this piece is your bride's "something old". Fragile condition that is sturdy enough for long term display and gentle handling. c.1800 -- early 19th century 17.75" square
