Antique natural German linen kitchen towels were found as a complete set of 12, all unused and perfect. These were a part of a trousseau and may have been one of several sets. Lucky for us, this one was put away....kind of like saving the best for last, eh?
Clearly, a labor of love from start to finish, each towel is finished with hand sewn tabs at both ends and a gorgeous turkey red and white embroidered monogram, "CW". Natural linen is heavy weight and densely woven in a check and stripe damask pattern. They were never used or laundered but I soaked away the age for you...Freshly laundered and pressed, in excellent, unused condition. c.1890's - 1910 19" X 44" (huge!!)
