and Embroidered Linen Tray Cloth Runner

Beautifully conceived and balanced with matching embroidered panels at the 4 corners, the fine needlework on this piece sets it apart. The round center panel of summer blooms is embroidered with padded satin stitches and pulled thread work. The four corner panels are similarly worked by an artistic and practiced hand. One small wear are on a corner piece, shown below, and a small hole in the lace are the only flaws. Creamy white, as seen in the last photo. Freshly laundered and pressed, in excellent condition for it's age, as described...a quality example of the style.
