A pair of winged cherubs place a harvest of fruit in a large bowl in a charming repeated portrait on this gloriously long and nearly perfect vintage cream needlelace runner. Executed entirely by hand, this needlelace piece is particularly special for it's length...but the cherubs are absolutely special. Whew! Charmed for it's composition and awe inspiring for the complexity and enormity of the hand work...when the box arrives, brew a pot of tea and have a seat in your most comfortable chair...and don't forget your glasses. You'll want to appreciate the work up close. Very minor age, the worst shown below, is easily overlooked and will soak out if you care. Fabulous and otherwise in excellent condition, freshly laundered and pressed. c.1900 - 1920's 11.5" X 144" (12 feet long!)
