Madeira vintage butter yellow organdy is perfectly embroidered and appliquéd with frothy white feathers on mats, napkins and a matching runner. There is no mistaking the exceptional work of tireless Madeira embroidresses, likely from Imperial Linens, a Marghab competitor that sought to win the heart of the discriminating embroidery market away from Vera. She had at least one "Feather" pattern....and this one would certainly have posed a formidable threat to her feather-market share. It is indeed winsome in design and perfect in execution. Finished with white linen replique hems. Freshly laundered and pressed, in perfect condition. c.1950's 6 mats 12.5" X 17.15" 6 napkins 17" square 1 runner 15" X 37.5"
