Breakfast Tray Set, Marghab "Iris"

Vintage white linen (sorry for the dark photos...the linen is white!!) is finished with crisp blue Irises on this lovely embroidered breakfast tray set by Vera Marghab, "Iris". The large tray cloth was intended for a breakfast tray, accompanied by it's two matching napkins....breakfast in bed would be absolutely perfect with this set, don't you think??
Vera was known for her perfectionist tendencies and one can certainly see why on this popular Marghab pattern. This set was never used and retains the Gremio Seal that was affixed to embroidered textiles that passed a rigorous inspection prior to export abroad. This seal was considered a sought after symbol of quality by both the consumer and embroidery firm. These sets were often given as wedding gifts to the new bride and groom. Offered in perfect, unused condition. c.1950's 2 Napkins 11" X 11.5". Tray cloth 13.75" X 20"
