Splendid embroidered vintage gray linen placemats and napkins set with vivid red and white appliquéd posies was rarely, if ever used. Simple but perfect work is most certainly the product of Madeira embroideresses and deserves a very close look when the box arrives...you won't believe your eyes!
Substantial but fine gray linen is finished by hand with contrasting buttonhole stitches in red. Just wonderful, likely freshly laundered and pressed, in excellent and unused condition. c.1940's - 1960's
