Antique Linens by Em's Heart Fringed Antique Linen Napkins with Extraordinary Redwork and Monogram Item Number N09903 It's ok if you gasp. I did! These are simply extraordinary one-of-a-kind antique napkins with very early turkey red embroidery in both red and blue. The single initial monogram K is almost whimsical and is in character with the shaggy, but soft fringes. It is done by hand using a tambour hook and most assuredly places these at mid-19th century. This is when hand tambour work encountered turkey red floss and, well, the rest is textile history. Four little posies form the simple damask pattern on these. One of these napkins encountered some bleaching agent long ago and has faded terribly. It is still lovely and in excellent condition, as are all the others. These are offered as found and are spotless and ready for your table! 15" square includes 2" fringes. c.1850 Reserved 6 fringed napkins $145
