Handmade French Cluny bobbin lace and creamy white linen antique coasters were once part of a large breakfast or dessert set -- my, how things have changed! Originally used beneath a goblet at each place at the table for a formal breakfast or desert. These match the 16 doilies, D29207 which would be fabulous as "chargers" atop your dinner plate and beneath the first and second course and then taken away for the main course. Together these would make a fabulous wedding gift for those who love to throw formal dinner parties. Soft but dignified...elegant for your best table. Freshly laundered and pressed, in excellent condition. c.1890 -- 1900. 6" round
