Antique Linens by Em's Heart Antique Linen Damask Napkins Needlelace Monogram, "SEP" Item Number N61707 Thready hems on several, two with very small holes, and an ancient faded fold line here and there are hardly noticed for the glorious cafe aulet damask and hand needlelace monograms....I just can't bring myself to call them "shabby"..... These were once enormous dinner napkins...imagine?! They were cut apart at least one hundred years ago and hemmed, then finished with a hand made needlelace monogram "SEP". They might also have been tea stained to match the color of the damask to the lace....now an amazing shade of cafe aulet, they have been laundered by me and retained the color perfectly. Two have small holes, shown below, and some of the hems are "shabby"...but really, would you ever call your dignified great, great grandmother shabby??...a very special set, indeed...and worthy of your tender loving care as you use, use, use them! Freshly laundered and pressed, in pretty darn good condition for their age, don't you think?? c.1870's or so 15" square, suitable for anytime... Item Sold Set of 14 antique cafe aulet linen damask napkins, hand needlelace monogram "SEP" $125 set of 14
