Stunning antique French napkins are gloriously monogrammed with perky, padded (Rembourré) stitches that are a hallmark of the style. The gorgeous hand embroidered monogram "DC" rests in the center field -- a feminine floral damask field that is surrounded by a lush, tropical border. Medium weight linen damask is creamy white and richly detailed. Side hems are turned up and stitched by machine in microscopic stitches that will last for eternity. This classic French finish was intended to make the ironing of daily use linen easier by allowing for pressing on one side. Fabulous...absolutely fabulous!
