A gorgeous hand embroidered monogram on these antique French linen napkins is balanced by the detailed floral damask medallion at the center of the linen. Identical monograms are artfully designed and expertly sewn in part, with a unique stitch that involves a weaving technique that is rarely seen....absolutely beautiful! The thick woven damask is creamy white and quite substantial. Each napkin is finished with hand sewn hems. One napkin has a tiny hole and one has a faint mark of age shown below -- neither of these interfere with use or display. Excellent condition and are clean and pressed. c.1870's - 90's 27" X 32"
