Absolutely charming pen and ink drawings tell the story of a lady, a marriage, a pregnancy and a baby. These appear to have been drawn by different people reminding me of a friendship quilt which is made up of individual blocks, each created by a friend of the recipient. Perhaps these were presented to her at a baby shower or a wedding party, anticipating the children that would surely come.
I love the little bottle laying on it's side that says, "Girl" -- Oh!! These would be fabulous framed, don't you think?? Freshly laundered and pressed, in excellent condition. c. mid 19th century 5" square
