Fine vintage linen embroidered cocktail napkins set is richly finished with a classic Madeira pattern called "Compass Work". This refers to the interlocking circles and dots and was popular with a variety of embroidery firms in Madeira for many years. Vera Marghab perfected this style on a pattern she called Ponto Grega.
Medium to heavy weight white linen is finely woven and just about perfect. Handsome and elegant. Excellent condition, freshly laundered and pressed.. c.1940's -- 60's 5.5" round
