Amazing set of antique linen embroidered napkins by the renown French embroidery firm, D. Porthault features stylized wild strawberries. Their signature hand embroidered chain stitch allows for fine gradations in shading and exquisite detail in the design. Finest, ever-so white linen lawn forms the perfect backdrop for the stylized strawberry embroidery. A couple of specks, a small area of age, and fraying on two corners, all shown below, are minor flaws. Heavenly...more so in person.
