Fabulous, silky antique linen European damask napkins are hand monogrammed in each corner, "IVE". The formal, layered hand stitched monogram is both sophisticated and artsy...These are likely French and are of the finest quality linen that may be mixed with silk...each is hand hemmed.
The creamy white, softest linen damask of woven checks and geometric lines has a true Arts and Crafts feel...these are just beautiful. Four or five of these have a tiny pin hole or two (total of 6 altogether -- one is shown below as an example) that formed when slubs dropped from the fabric during cleaning through the years. These do not pose a problem, nor do they represent flaws....just something that happens with fine old linens over time. They are in otherwise excellent condition and have been freshly laundered and pressed. c.1880's - 1900 26" X 27"
