Antique linen damask napkins feature a floral border of Mums and a cursive monogram "M" in one corner of each. The subject matter of Victorian linen damask was often chosen to match the surname. Time and again I have seen this ever-so quaint tradition carried out on antique napkins and such...sooo charming, don't you think? The creamy white linen is medium weight and all pieces are hand hemmed. Crisp and spotless (old laundry mark on a corner of each is shown below), they are in excellent condition and have been freshly laundered and pressed. c.1890 - 1920's 24" X 26"
