Antique Cluny lace insets and trim adorn this amazing, embroidered antique linen sham. The superior, clear white antique linen has an amazingly supple hand...delectable old style linen that was tediously spun by hand using old-school wet methods that produce the finest quality. Each corner is embroidered with little Blue Bells or Buttercups that are captured within a tiny ring. The central monogram "ES" is professionally executed by hand. The Cluny lace insets and trim are hand made of linen and are perfect except for a small discoloration on one edge. The back closes with tiny linen wrapped buttons that fit through hand made buttonholes. Smallish, boudoir size...would be stunning on your antique Matelasse covered bed too! Freshly laundered and pressed, in excellent condition, as described. c.1900 - 1920 17" X 23"
