Absolutely adorable antique linen baby sham of finest white linen lawn is beautifully embroidered and finished with a deep ruffle. The figural embroidery depicts a tiny cherub sitting on a branch playing a lute. Is is Appenzell...or Italian?? Not sure...it's just beautiful with exceptional detail, all made by hand. For your best bed...you will want to see and enjoy this pretty piece every day. A single, smallish near hole, shown below is the only flaw. Back closes with tiny buttons and hand sewn button holes. Freshly laundered and pressed, in excellent condition. c.1900 13" X 16.5" plus 3" ruffle all around
