Stunning and large antique French Normandy lace boudoir pillow sham is shaped like a heart and finished with a beautiful embroidered sunflower. The beautifully pieced embroidered linen outer border surrounding this elaborate hand embroidered center panel. Lace on this piece includes hand made Valenciennes and drawn lace at the center of the sunflower. The entire piece is assembled by hand, including the back which has two buttons and hand sewn buttonholes. The outer frill is in perfect shape....just right to make this frothy feminine sham fit for a princess! Creamy white lace and net will mix nicely with your other antique Normandy lace pieces. An absolutely delightful confection...Excellent condition, freshly laundered and pressed. c.1890's - 1910. 21" X 21" including lace
