Crisp white linen antique layover shams are embroidered with a posy border that terminates in each corner with a garland heart...my, oh MY! The work is amazing but the design is perfection. Intricate hand embroidery is richly padded, adding depth and texture to each piece. The top corners of each layover have triangular flaps that "hook" over the pillow to keep them in place whilst on display during the day. This way, too, they are easily removed in the evening before bedtime. Romantic design is heart-ee and elegant for your most special bed. Freshly laundered and pressed, with two holes, shown below. Excellent condition, none-the-less. c.1900 30" X 31"
