These were likely done at home from a transfer pattern....cutwork and embroidered butterfly vintage cotton pillowcases are sweetly finished with deep scallops that are just right for your cottage-ee boudoir or guest house. A thread pull runs across both cases in just the same place above the butterfly...not sure what it is but it doesn't "pop", and can easily be ignored. These saw little to no use and have been freshly laundered. Completely charming in a naive sort of way. c.1940's - 50's 21.5" X 35"
