Best drapey wet spun antique linen is cool to the touch and soft as silk on these enormous antique linen shams, each monogrammed "AL". European in origin and imported from France, these are made of the finest woven creamy linen of medium weight. The hand embroidered turkey red monograms are beautifully executed by hand, each with a different style to tell them apart, a-la-his and hers. I suspect the monograms and buttons were originally not displayed, but I would put them right out there...absolutely charming. Absolutely heavenly...age and smudges will launder...These are offered as found, in excellent condition. c.1880's - 1920 24" X 43.5"
