Amazing, embroidered vintage linen tray mats or runners depict a famous Christmas song, "A Partridge in a Pear Tree" and were likely the work of Imperial Linens of Madeira. The hand embroidery rivals any produced by famous competitor Marghab Linens...the two companies competed for the same market and at times used the same embroidresses. These are some of the most amazing and intricate embroidered linens that Madeira had to offer and this rare pattern is sought after and highly collectable. The linen is crisp and white and in excellent condition, freshly laundered and pressed. c.1950's 12.5" X 18"
