The light was waning as I was photographing this stunning antique Italian linen sheet...the third photo best reflects the rich oatmeal cream color and nubby texture that will make you swoon. Woven in three panels, this piece was entirely hand made from the first spun thread to the last embroidery stitch.
A lavish embroidered central panel in pink and white says, "Sogni Dorati" in Italian, meaning "Golden Dreams"...Beautifully executed...sooo romantic! A small hole on the seam is minor and will not detract from the beauty or usefulness of the piece. A small dot or two of age can be ignored but will soak out the first time through. Offered as found in excellent condition for age, as shown below.
