Vintage and Antique Linens by Em's Heart Primitive Wool and Flannel Tack Quilt Item Number S10005 This utilitarian "tack" quilt, as they were called long ago, is made of wool and flannel stripes in blue and red and interspersed with cotton feedsack patchwork. It appears to have been stitched together by machine and then was tied every few inches. The batting inside is thin but does not come to the edge all the way around. This piece has several "flaws" or signs of age, shown below, including a few seam separations and some wear of a few pieces. The back is made of alternating flannel and wool stripes...the red is disintegrating is several areas, as shown. It is quite warm and would make lovely pillows if you dare cut it up. It also would be wonderful for display on either side. c. 1880's -- 1930's 81" X 81" Vintage colorful tied tack quilt $65
