These are vintage sheets made of a blend of linen and cotton ("metis"), retaining the best qualities of both -- the refreshing cool of linen and the durability of cotton. The ladder hems are done completely by hand. They were never used and are still stiff with fabric sizing and will lighten and soften with use. The unbleached, natural linen color is a great base for upholstery, pillows or curtains. Appropriate for daily use...will last for many years. Laundered once by me and in excellent condition.
