Pure cream linen antique French sheet is fabulously monogrammed and richly embroidered "AP" on a beautiful trousseau piece. The ever-s0 slightly contrasting white embroidery shows remnants of the original marking as this piece has never been used and has only been laundered once. The stitching is deeply padded and layered forming a three dimensional and highly durable monogram. Each letter is entwined with vines and flowers that mix with the surrounding flower garden embroidered in satin stitch, seed stitch and pulled lace fillings....a superior quality bit of French needlework. A deep turndown finishes the piece so it can be used as a summer bed cover (on your finest bed, of course)... The linen is crisp and smooth and drapey, cool to the touch and finely woven, though quite substantial. An elaborate row of Venetian drawn work finishes the piece.
