If you consider yourself a girly girl, sit down, be calm and don't forget to breathe...this one will send you into a frenzy of femininity that will confuse even the most tuned in, tenderhearted, diaper changing, grocery shopping husband. Warn him, I beg you.
Heavenly and sheer French net is perfectly embroidered with heavy satin ribbon in a charmingly vintage and ever-so feminine pattern of pink flower garlands tied with frothy blue ribbons and bows. The edge is finished with a narrow row of pink embroidery, and only one small hole near an edge, thankfully, is the only flaw, shown below. Yellow dye from the ribbon baskets bled in the wash, shown below in the photo with arrows, but is virtually unseen if the piece is laid atop a colored lining. A gold satin lining will be included with the piece...Net is creamy beige. Freshly laundered and pressed, in excellent condition, as described and shown. Whew! **All of the pieces from the Normandy lace collection, listed separately, were purchased from the granddaughter of a woman who was the personal assistant to Florenz Ziegfeld during the 1920's, founder of the Broadway show, the Ziegfeld Follies. Family tradition has it that this piece and the French Normandy lace vintage embroidered bed cover, S19107, were gifts from him.
