Shabby King Size Italian Linen Sheet

Item Number S23108

Boo boos, lots of boo boos, so lets get all that out of the way:  Age spots on one side, small separation in the seam, a small hole at the foot, small holes near a seam, one or two loose threads...oh.  and charming irregularities in the hand work, all shown below....ok.  I'm done!

Now for the good news:  Huge king size sheet of deliciously drapey Italian wet spun finest linen was deeply embroidered with a Greek key pattern of pulled lace, fondly called "punch work".  A deep, narrowly drawn hem extends the entire length of each side indicated this might have once been used as a summer bed cover.  The embroidery extends  nearly a yard around each top corner forming a generous turndown.  Despite it's flaws, this is a grand piece...one you will not feel guilty using and using and using.  Freshly laundered and pressed, in good, useful condition.  c.1900 -- 1920's  King size  107" X 108"
