Vintage French Alencon lace tablecloth is ever-so white and bears an original label, "Made in France". The richly patterned lace is over embroidered by machine (as with all vintage French Alencon lace) with a gimp or cordonnet outline that enhances and defines the figures and flowers. The outer border features large, repeating medallions of Acanthus leaves and stylized urns. The central panel carries the same theme more elaborately infused with daffodils, dahlias and mums. The hems appear to be over stitched by hand...For your frilliest table at your finest hour. Freshly laundered and pressed, in excellent condition with a smudge and two single breaks in the mesh, shown below. c.1940's 64" X 88"
