Antique Italian Cream Linen Supper Cloth

Medium weight cream Italian linen antique banquet tablecloth is embroidered in two borders with repeating Italianesque forms. The inner border measures 27" X 77.5" so this was intended for quite a large table. The cream linen is medium weight and a less formal weave than many pieces of the same era. Hand needlelace inserts are intermingled with the embroidery throughout and create a lace-like effect. Slight wear to the embroidery, an example shown below, and one very faint old stain are the only flaws of note. A great piece for layering and "everyday" too. Offered in good to excellent condition, as described, freshly laundered and pressed. c.1900 - 1920's 72" X 122"
